Dear Pioneer Families,

It is my pleasure to introduce myself, Olivia Smith, as the new assistant principal of Argyle Elementary School! I am honored to be a part of your AES leadership team and am eager to begin working with such persevering students, hardworking faculty, and a dedicated school community.

I look forward to getting to know everyone in the Pioneer Family! I have been an educator in Clay County for six years, serving as a classroom teacher at both Plantation Oaks Elementary and Thunderbolt Elementary. I have experience in kindergarten, first, second, and fourth grade, as well as coaching experience at the elementary and junior high levels. While teaching, I obtained my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida. Additionally, I have served as a team leader, teacher of the year at TBE, and mentor to first-year teachers. As a Clay County graduate, I am fully committed to the high expectations and academic accountability of all OneClay students! I am excited to unite my experience, my openness to learn, and my child-centered approach to support our Pioneer scholars.

I view education as a life-long process and expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of Argyle this year and in the years to come. Most importantly, I bring a belief that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am thrilled to be in partnership with the families and stakeholders of AES, supporting our students and striving for academic excellence! As a team, we can accomplish so much.
