Partnerships with Colleges

Students currently have multiple options to design a pathway that will lead to graduating high school with a 2 year college degree. Our high schools work in conjunction with the local colleges to lay the ground work for and to create a seamless transition to a higher education.

Advanced Learning Programs

Our high schools have nationally and internationally renowned and respected programs that provide advanced learning curriculums and opportunities. Clay County's plan is to add appropriate programs to all of our junior high schools to support students' accelerated learning pathways earlier in their educational career. Participating students can potentially graduate high school with a 2 year college degree and a Bright Futures Scholarship.

Cambridge AICE

  • Advanced International Certificate of Education

Offered at Clay High School, Fleming Island High School, Keystone High School, Middleburg High School Orange Park High School, Oakleaf High School and Ridgeview High School. 

AICE is a rigorous, internationally recognized pre-university curriculum. Students passing AICE examinations may earn up to 45 hours of college credits.

International Baccalaureate

Offered at Ridgeview High School.

IB is an intensive experience, consisting of honors and advanced placement courses and the two-year IB curriculum. Students can take as many as 45 college credits to their university upon graduation.

Advanced Placement

  • Advanced Placement Capstone

Offered at Clay High School, Fleming Island High School, Middleburg High School, Orange Park High School, and Oakleaf High School.

This elite program enhances a student's AP experience and provides another level for those AP students who want to take their studies one step further. Students have the potential to enter college at the sophomore or higher level.

Santa Fe Community College

  • Dual Enrollment and Early College Program at Keystone Heights High School

Keystone Heights High School has partnered with Santa Fe College to offer students the opportunity to attain their Associate of Arts degree simultaneously with their high school diploma.

St. Johns River State College

  • Early College Program  at Orange Park High School and Middleburg High School

Middleburg and Orange Park High Schools have partnered with St. Johns River State College to offer students the opportunity to attain their Associate of Arts degree simultaneously with their high school diploma.
