Teacher Advisory Council
Expectations
The Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council will be composed of two teachers from each grade level, who will represent the diversity of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences of teachers across Clay County District Schools. Teachers will be selected by an application process, which will be reviewed by district level staff. Teachers who aspire to participate will be expected to:
serve a one year term that begins September and concludes in May.
participate in monthly meetings with the Superintendent;
discuss perspectives from the classroom;
provide input on upcoming policy decisions and best practices.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria
Teachers serving on the Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council must:
Currently Be Teaching in Clay County District Schools;
Fully Complete the Superintendent Teacher Advisory Council Application;
Meeting Times
Meetings will be held on a monthly basis on Monday evenings at 6:15 p.m. Meetings will be located at the Teacher Training Center located on the Fleming Island High School campus.
