Prospective Students/application Information

Admission Requirements

 Students applying for admission to the University of Cambridge International Examinations Advanced International Certificate of Education program must meet all of the following preliminary requirements:

1. FAST Math and English scores must show a high level of achievement.

2. Non-public school applicants must score at the 85th percentile or above in Math and

    Reading on a nationally recognized standardized test

3.  Students must have taken Algebra I Honors* or Geometry Honors* in 8th grade.

4.  Grades of A or B in all core academic subjects

5.  No serious discipline record or chronic absenteeism

6.  Completion of the application, following all directions.

Private/Homeschool/Virtual School/Out-of-State Students please read:

Students who have not been in a Florida public school will be required to take the state Algebra I or Geometry End of Course exam and meet the score requirements to remain eligible. It also must be taken to fulfill a state graduation requirement.  Students who are not in a Florida public school will need to contact the county office at (904) 336-9369 to register for this exam in the spring or summer before 9th grade begins.

The AICE application is open to qualified students.  Accepted students who are out-of-zone must apply for a Special Pupil Assignment which must be approved by the county office.  These approvals cannot be guaranteed, and space in the program is reserved for FIHS zoned students.
