GCJ School Counselors
| Our School counselors help all students develop to their highest potential while supporting their academic, social, and emotional well being via classroom, group and individual counseling. In addition, 10 minute SEL lessons are provided schoolwide daily. Students can request an appointment through their counselor’s google classroom or website link. We also have several in-school resources below that our counselors can refer students that may need additional support. |
School Social Worker Jenni Bell

Student Success Team
| The Student Success Team Meeting is a partnership between the school and home that utilizes a problem-solving approach to help students to be more successful in school, at home, and in the community. Parents can inquire via their school counselor. Success Team Request link |
Military Family Life Counselor
| Ms. Rivera is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works specifically with students of our military families on an individual and/or group basis and offers support to our military students in the areas of transitioning, peer relations, deployment, behavioral concerns, fear, loss etc. Please complete the MFLC Parent Consent Form and return to the Guidance Department |
Mental Health Counselor
| A Licensed Mental Health Counselor is available to meet with students for short-term, solution based counseling upon referral from Ms. Dawe or Ms. Stringer. |

Haven offers camps at no charge for children and youth who have lost a loved one. Children and youth suffering a loss can often benefit from the development of coping skills to handle their emotions. Supported by Haven’s professionals and volunteers for over 15 years, Camp Safe Haven provides fun and therapeutic activities to help children work through feelings of grief. | |
Attendance Works | Florida Law (Section 1003.21), Florida Statutes) states that all children who are either six years of age or older but have not attained the age of 16 years, must attend school regularly during the entire school term. Students with at least five (5) unexcused absences within a calendar month or 10 unexcused absences within a 90 day period are considered truant.
