Dear Families and Community Members,

Welcome to our Keystone Heights community school! I am so proud to be the leader of such a dynamic group of faculty and staff who impact stellar students each day. Our school is an A+ school, offering top-notch academics, while nurturing each and every student’s social and emotional needs to reach the highest potential. Every day students are engaged in highly rigorous learning through technology, collaboration, inquiry and project-based learning.

Keystone Heights Elementary School is one of two “feeder” schools in our community that funnel all students to Keystone Heights Jr./Sr. High School directly across the street from our campus. We have 120 faculty/staff members who delightfully serve over 800 students each day. We are completing the final stages, and will begin the 2022-2023 school year, as a Cambridge Primary School. As Cambridge students, our future sixth graders will have the opportunity to glean valuable academic skills and move on to the Cambridge AICE pathway at Keystone Heights Jr./Sr. High School. We are also a Title 1 school, receiving federal funding that provides a wealth of resources, including a STEM teacher and a math coach, who are field experts. Through Title 1 funding, we also have multiple teacher assistants, who use their talents to push into classrooms, providing additional teaching support to our students.

Keystone Heights is a small town that has a neighborhood feel, where everyone loves and supports one another. Most of our faculty/staff live in Keystone Heights and greatly desire to invest in our students. Our community is filled with people who love to volunteer their time and energy to ensure the success of our school. KHE has a very strong Parent Faculty Association (PFA), who dedicate themselves to helping celebrate student successes and to meet our school’s needs in a variety of ways.

Coming from a nearby small town, I realize what a rare gem KHE is, and do not take my role as principal lightly. I am honored to be a part of the Clay County School District and the Keystone Heights community. Thank you to all of the parents, faculty, staff and members of the community who make each day meaningful to the students we serve. Together, we are preparing our students to be leaders in the 21st century.
