About the Program
The Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Program is a rigorous, internationally recognized pre-university curriculum provided by Cambridge University in England. AICE is internationally recognized as a university-level qualification and is committed to a flexible curriculum with global acceptance while maintaining the academic rigor that is a keystone of Cambridge. The AICE program of study offers students one of the most demanding and rigorous college preparatory programs in the world. AICE courses and examinations in the United States are equivalent to first-year college and university courses.
Most universities in the United States award students advanced standing and academic credit for Cambridge examinations passed. Today, all students passing AICE examinations may earn up to 45 hours of college credit at all public universities and colleges in Florida, and the state’s Bright Futures program recognizes AICE diploma recipients who also complete the required community service hours with the Florida Academic Scholars Scholarship.

Private/Homeschool/Virtual School/Out-of-State Students please read:
Students who have not been in a Florida public school will be required to take the state Algebra I or Geometry End of Course exam and meet the score requirements to remain eligible. It also must be taken to fulfill a state graduation requirement. Students who are not in a Florida public school will need to contact the county office at (904) 336-9369 to register for this exam in the spring or summer before 9th grade begins.
The AICE application is open to qualified students. Accepted students who are out-of-zone must apply for a Special Pupil Assignment which must be approved by the county office. These approvals cannot be guaranteed, and space in the program is reserved for KHHS zoned students.
