Montclair Elementary Family,

Welcome to Montclair Elementary, home of the Indians! It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve our community of learners as your Principal. We strive to create a family first atmosphere for all our stakeholders. The Montclair Family is an attitude of love for each other as we inspire the next generation to be lifelong learners. Montclair has a long history, beginning in 1977, of generations of families that have graduated and gone on to achieve amazing life accomplishments.

We are a Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) school. Our staff is highly trained in the Safe and Civil Schools PBIS Model. PBIS is a multi-tiered framework to make our school a more effective place to learn. It establishes a social culture and the behavior supports needed to improve social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes for all students.

Our school has three grants that provide our scholars with wonderful resources. As a Community Eligibility Provision school, all our scholars receive free breakfast and lunch without applying for this benefit. Our Title 1 Grant provides our scholars with extra teacher leaders to provide intensive small group instruction in reading, math, and science. There is also a Community Engagement component that provides programs for parents to enjoy regular events throughout the year. The final grant is the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Florida funded by the 21st Century Community Learning Center. This club is free for scholars in grade 1 - 6 and provides afterschool opportunities from 2:45 - 5:45 each school day. Kindergarten scholars can attend if they have an older sibling in the club. The scholars also receive a hot meal and bus transportation if needed.

Parent involvement is critical to the success of our school so we highly encourage all parents/guardians to join our Parent Faculty Association (PFA). We have a very strong PFA that is truly dedicated to the success of all our scholars. They also take pride in showing love and care to teachers and staff throughout the year.
