The FFA is a co curricular club for the Ag Foundations, Agritechnology and Horticulture classes. The FFA experience is valuable to all students, regardless if they do or do not ultimately pursue agricultural careers. FFA members are both prepared to embark on a career in agriculture through opportunities available in eight different career pathways and they are prepared for career success. National Honor Society (NHS)

Grades 10-12
The National Honor Society recognizes students for their scholarship, service, leadership, and character. It provides opportunities for students to earn community service hours serving the school and community. Dates and events are listed in the NHS google classroom. Members will graduate with an honor stole and gold cords to symbolize this accomplishment and their academic dedication. This club includes initial dues of $35 and then annual dues of $15.00. Membership is by invitation and only to 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. 10th graders must have a weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher. 11th and 12th graders must have a weighted GPA of 3.75 or higher. NHS meets the first Thursday of the month from 1:45-2:15 in the media center.

SKILLS USA

Skills USA at MHS is comprised primarily of students in auto maintenance, auto refinish, carpentry, drafting and electrical. As a whole we try to work on small improvements and repairs in our school and classrooms associated with our elective training skills. Select individuals have the opportunity to compete in regional, state and national level conferences. We meet at least once a quarter and have cookouts with fun and games.
