School Counseling

K-6th grade

Dear Parents and Community Members,
I am delighted to serve as the School Counselor at Paterson Elementary, and I am incredibly grateful to be part of this amazing school community. Every day, I have the privilege of working with students to help them navigate challenges, build emotional skills, and foster positive relationships.
As your school counselor, I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where each child feels valued, heard, and understood. I believe that a strong partnership between the school, parents, and the community is vital to helping our students succeed. Whether through individual sessions, counseling groups, or classroom lessons, my goal is to help students grow not only academically but also emotionally and socially. I am also involved in a variety of student support services, including handling 504 plans, MTSS behavior plans, and referrals for gifted services, speech, and occupational therapy. My role is to ensure that every child receives the support they need to succeed in all areas of their development.
I was born and raised in Clay County, graduating from Middleburg High School in 2018. After taking a gap year, I decided to attend Lancaster Bible College in Pennsylvania, where I was accepted into an accelerated 4+1 program, allowing me to earn both my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master of Education in Professional School Counseling in just five years. After graduating in May 2024, my husband and I relocated from Pennsylvania to Florida, where I accepted my first position as a School Counselor here at Paterson Elementary.
I am proud to be a state-certified School Counselor in both Pennsylvania and Florida. It’s an honor to serve all grades at Paterson Elementary, and I am passionate about helping every student thrive. I feel truly fortunate to be part of such a wonderful school community, and I look forward to continuing to work together with our amazing faculty, parents, and community to support the growth and success of our students.
