About the Program

The Cambridge/AICE Program is a rigorous, internationally recognized pre-university curriculum provided by Cambridge University in England.  Cambridge/AICE is committed to a flexible curriculum with global acceptance while maintaining the academic rigor that is a keystone of Cambridge. Most universities in the United States award students advanced standing and academic credit for passing Cambridge/AICE examinations. Students passing examinations may earn up to 45 hours of college credit at public universities and colleges in Florida. 

In addition, the Florida Bright Futures program recognizes Cambridge/AICE diploma recipients who also complete the required community service hours with the Florida Academic Scholars Scholarship.

Benefits of a Cambridge/AICE Diploma

In addition to providing students with a rigorous curriculum and college preparation, the Cambridge/AICE diploma automatically qualifies a student for a full Bright Futures Scholarship.   

  • Potentially earn up to 45 college credits

  • 100% tuition covered with the Bright Futures Scholarship at Florida public universities

    • The Cambridge/AICE Diploma is as a graduation option and acceleration mechanism through which students can be awarded college credit based on the level of the Cambridge/AICE courses and the passing of 7+ Cambridge/AICE examinations (specific to the designated Cambridge criteria). Students earning the AICE Diploma qualify for the Florida Academic Scholarship, the highest level of the Bright Futures Scholarship Program (pays 100% tutition to FL public instiutions), with the completion of 100 community service hours; and are not required to meet a score minimum for SAT/ACT. Students completing an Cambridge/AICE curriculum but not earning the Cambridge/AICE Diploma may qualify for the Bright Futures Florida Medallion scholar award which currently pays up to $76 per credit hour at a Florida public institution.

Cambridge/AICE Program Admissions Requirements

Students applying for admission to the Cambridge/AICE program must meet all of the following minimum requirements:

  • Level 3 or higher on the FSA assessments

  • Must have taken Algebra 1 Honors

  • Non-public school applicants must score at the 85th percentile or above in Math and Reading on a nationally recognized standardized test

  • Evidence of high performance/ grades in all core academic subjects.

  • History of good attendance

  • History of good discipline

  • Full completion of the online application by February 3rd, 2023

Students interested in applying for the Cambridge/AICE Program during their 8th-grade year should complete the online application.

Private/Homeschool/Virtual School/Out-of-State Students 

The Cambridge/AICE application is open to qualified students.  If your student is not zoned for Ridgeview High School or currently attends a private school and would like to be considered for the program, please complete the online application. Students that are accepted into the program, but are zoned for a different school, will need to provide their own transportation and will need to complete a special pupil assignment form.  These approvals cannot be guaranteed as space in the program is reserved for RHS zoned students.
