Sierra Hardin has been named Clay County’s Rookie Teacher of the Year, and she is celebrated for her dedication to building meaningful relationships with students and inspiring their resilience.
Ms. Hardin began her career at Bannerman Learning Center as a long-term substitute teacher before transitioning into a full-time teaching role. Her ability to connect with students and see beyond labels has allowed her to recognize their potential and perseverance as they overcome personal and academic challenges.
“It’s the resilience I witness and the connections I build that fuel my passion for teaching,” Hardin said. “I strive to help my students see that their ability to succeed is not defined by mistakes but by their determination to grow.”
Her role as a mentor and consistent source of support empowers students to believe in themselves and embrace growth, even after setbacks.
