Thursday, March 6, 2025 - One hundred and twenty-two students from Clay County District Schools have received prestigious awards from Cambridge International Education, part of Cambridge University Press & Assessment (Cambridge), and the University of Cambridge, to acknowledge their outstanding performance on the June 2024 Cambridge examinations. The awards celebrate the success of students taking Cambridge examinations around the world.  More than a million students study Cambridge programs every year in over 160 countries.

Clay County students received recognition in five categories: 

  • Cambridge Scholar Award:

    Awarded to learners who have achieved three C grades or higher at Cambridge International A/AS.  

  • Cambridge Scholar Award with Merit:

    Awarded to learners who have achieved three B grades or higher at Cambridge International A/AS.  

  • Cambridge Scholar Award with Distinction:

    Awarded to learners who have achieved three A grades or higher at Cambridge International A/AS. 

  • Top in the USA:

    Awarded to the learner who has achieved the highest standard mark in the country in an individual subject.

  • Top in the World:

    Awarded to the learner who has achieved the highest standard mark in the world in an individual subject.

Cambridge’s Regional Director for North America, for International Education, Mark Cavone, said: “It is a great pleasure to honor the outstanding efforts of students and teachers at Clay County District Schools. I commend the students from Clay County for their remarkable achievements in Cambridge courses and examinations. The qualifications they have gained are recognized globally and will open doors for exciting opportunities. I wish the students continued success in the coming year on behalf of everyone at Cambridge."
