The final day of Field Week 2025 was another perfect weather day and fun for all. The winning team will be announced on Monday!

Scholars completed a real world, project-based learning activity in Mrs. Phillips second grade class. They went grocery shopping with $20 and had to choose between wants/needs (economics), be responsible in choosing healthy foods (science), and use mental math to calculate how much money they spent and how much they should receive back out of the $20. They were encouraged to save some money for other necessities or emergencies.

Field Week day 3 was another amazing opportunity for our scholars to excel at STREAM activities. The weather was perfect with low humidity and a light breeze. A beautiful swallow-tailed kite flew overhead of our Certified Schoolyard Habitat! We encourage all scholars to hydrate for the final day. Parents are invited to volunteer and we thank the ones who have done so this week. Let intentional fun continue!

Congratulations to our Montclair Elementary Battle of the Books Team for winning the CCDS Regional Championship. Paul, Robyn, and Emily were amazing! Their love and dedication for reading paid off with all correct answers! Thank you Ms. Tison for leading these amazing scholars!

The Montclair Elementary Field Week Day 2 was fun for all! We are still accepting volunteers for days 3 and 4. Come enjoy the fun with our scholars!

Montclair Elementary Field Day continues... Day 2 proved to be amazing! We can't wait to see day three!

Extended Studies scholars ended their Aztec and Maya unit with some a-MAZE-ing temple marble mazes! After learning about both civilizations, scholars researched famous temples and their myths. Scholars were then tasked with designing their own pyramid temple incorporating elements from their mythology. Then they created marble mazes to represent the real secret passages and tunnels in Mayan temples. We can't wait to see where we will visit during the 4th quarter!

The Montclair Elementary Field Week 2025 is underway! The week's weather forecast is amazing for our annual spring tradition. With sunny days around 80 degrees each day, make sure you stay hydrated! Please thank our awesome resource team for organizing this event each year. Parents are invited to volunteer each day. Click the volunteer link in the Montclair Message 032425 to sign up. Let the fun continue!

They discussed and took notes with adjectives to describe the properties. We are proud of our scholars and our school!

Montclair Elementary is so proud of our Odyssey of the Mind Teams! On Saturday the teams traveled to compete in their Regional Competition going up against 31 teams from across North Florida. Montclair Elementary is the only school in Clay County who has this program and we are so proud of the scholars for representing our school and our county! Throughout the year our scholars have been working diligently to create their own plays to solve a problem, including writing the script, making props, and designing costumes. Our two primary teams consisting of K-2 scholars did AMAZING! Our competitive teams placed 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th in their individual divisions! Thank you Mrs. Mercer for leading our scholars! Thank you to our coaches Mrs. Tomazinis, Mrs. Jensvold, and Mrs. Musick as we are so proud of your servant attitude for our scholars success! Way to go Montclair Odyssey!

The PFA Skate Station Spirit Night was fun for all! We raised funds for our school and our scholars by just having fun! Mr. Matei's class won the Golden Skate Award for best attendance which comes with a Donut Breakfast Party. Hope to see you at the next MCE Spirit Night!
