On Tuesday, our Ridgeview NJROTC cadets demonstrated the discipline, dedication, and leadership that define their program during their Annual Military Inspection (AMI) and Pass-In-Review Ceremony. This event is a testament to our cadets' hard work and commitment, as they showcased their skills, precision, and teamwork in front of distinguished guests, instructors, and proud families.
The AMI evaluates the unit’s performance, ensuring our cadets uphold the highest standards of the NJROTC program. Following the inspection, the Pass-In-Review Ceremony celebrates their achievements and the proud traditions of military excellence.
A huge congratulations to our cadets and instructors for their outstanding performance! Your dedication to leadership, service, and excellence continues to make Ridgeview proud. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Colón's Health Science Foundations students took a deep dive into the world of pathogenic microorganisms and their role in causing illness and disease. To wrap up their study, students researched and presented on historically significant disease outbreaks—analyzing their symptoms, impact on the body, survival rates, long-term complications, and prevention strategies. Through this exploration, students gained valuable insight into the science behind diseases and the importance of public health measures. #PanthersRISE

For the past six weeks, Ms. Christine Snyder from the University of Florida's IFAS (Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences) Program has visited our Little Paws every Tuesday to share the "MyPlate" curriculum. Through engaging lessons, she has taught our preschoolers about food groups, healthy eating habits, and the importance of washing hands for 20 seconds. We are so grateful for her dedication and for helping our Little Paws build a strong foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Thank you, Ms. Christine! #PanthersRISE

Mrs. Yancey’s biology class kicked off their study of kingdoms with a hands-on taxonomy activity. Students explored how living things are classified based on specific characteristics, but just like real scientists, they discovered that not everyone agrees on which traits are most important. In this activity, two groups of "scientists" were given a list of random objects to sort and classify based on their own reasoning. Each group came up with a completely different system, sparking discussion about how classification works in the real world. #PanthersRISE

Even Principal Murphy joined the action, trying out the equipment and exploring the exciting career paths alongside our students!

We recently shared a post from our Athletics page on how Mr. Bruchak and his carpentry students took on the challenge of restoring our signature "R" logo at the stadium, and how their hard work truly paid off! Without a pre-made form to follow, they turned this into an incredible hands-on learning experience. Using one of our gym logos as a template, they crafted a precise form that can now be used for future projects.
These students showcased their skills, teamwork, and dedication to Ridgeview from design to installation. We are proud of their craftsmanship and commitment to making our campus shine! #PanthersRISE

Ms. Thomas’s AICE General Paper students spent time gathering research and evaluating different perspectives on the question: Should animals be used for scientific or commercial testing? Working collaboratively, they analyzed claims and evidence before partnering up to write well-supported research responses. This activity strengthens their analytical and argumentative writing skills and encourages them to think critically about real-world issues. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Moore's US History students analyzed the impact of nuclear technology on global relations by engaging in close readings, vocabulary exploration, and political cartoon analysis. They first examined mutually assured destruction, deterrence, and proliferation by breaking down key terms and applying them in context. Through multiple readings, they identified vivid language, significant quotes, and historical context to summarize the main ideas of nuclear proliferation. To apply their learning, they analyzed a Cold War-era political cartoon, interpreting perspectives on nuclear strategy. Finally, students demonstrated their understanding by crafting concise responses using vocabulary terms, connecting history to modern global issues. #PanthersRISE
