April is Month of the Military Child. Next week we are showing our support by:
Monday - Wear Camo
Tuesday - Wear stars/sun, light-up accessories, or sparkles
Wednesday - Wear Purple to celebrate National Purple Up Day
Thursday - Wear red, white, and blue. Plus, military families are invited to bring lunch and enjoy a picnic with their kids! Picnic
times are during your child's normal lunch time.

Kindergarten are learning about the late artist Henri Matisse. He was known for his bold use of color and integrating paper cut-outs. Right now they are finishing up their cheetahs before they add in the colorful paper cut-out leaves. They are working very hard on this project!

Last week DIS hosted a regional Battle of the Books event! We had Lakeside Elementary, Orange Park Elementary and Montclair Elementary participate in this event. Students competed in team to see which school had the most knowledge about this years Sunshine State Young Reader books. Congratulations on Montclair Elementary for winning this year!
